- Stop retinol, Retin-A, AHAs, BHAs, and exfoliants 3 to 5 days before.
- Skip waxing, dermaplaning, and peels for 5 to 7 days before.

After your facial
- Wear SPF 30 or higher every day.
- Avoid heat, saunas, and intense workouts for 24 hours.

What is the difference between a HydraFacial and a classic facial?
A HydraFacial uses a dedicated device to cleanse, extract, and infuse hydration in one pass, with no downtime. A classic facial is done by hand with steam, manual extractions, and a mask. Both are customized to your skin.
How often should I get a facial?
Most skin does well with a facial about once a month, which matches the skin’s renewal cycle. Acne-prone or sensitive skin may need a different schedule, and Aileen will recommend one at your visit.
Is there downtime after a chemical peel?
It depends on the strength. Light peels may leave skin pink for a day, while stronger peels can cause a few days of flaking. Wear SPF daily and avoid exfoliants until your skin settles.
Which facial is best for acne?
A chemical peel or a facial with extractions usually helps most with breakouts and congestion. For back acne there is a dedicated back facial.
